<!-- about this layout -->
The SI-1452 layout
This is SI-1452, the Israeli standard layout used on Windows, Mac ("Hebrew – PC") and phones. Hebrew has no capital letters, so Shift only matters for punctuation.
Five letters have a separate final form used at the end of a word: ך ם ן ף ץ. They have their own keys — ך on L, ם on O, ן on I, ף on ;, ץ on the full-stop key — so the full stop moves to the / key.

<!-- questions -->
Common questions
How do I type Hebrew without a Hebrew keyboard?
Use this page. Tap the on-screen keys, or type on your normal keyboard: each key types the Hebrew letter in the same position on a Hebrew keyboard, so you do not need to install anything. Then press Copy and paste the text anywhere.
How do I add the Hebrew keyboard on Windows, Mac or iPhone?
Windows 11: Settings → Time & language → Language & region → Add a language, choose Hebrew. Switch keyboards with Windows key + Space. Mac: System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → + and pick Hebrew – PC (matches the layout here; "Hebrew" and "Hebrew – QWERTY" differ). Switch with Control + Space or the Globe key. iPhone: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Hebrew. Switch with the globe key. Android (Gboard): Gboard settings → Languages → Add keyboard → Hebrew (עברית).
How do I type Hebrew final letters?
Each final letter has its own key: ך is on L, ם on O, ן on I, ף on ; and ץ on the full-stop key. Use them for the last letter of a word, as in שלום (shalom) and ארץ (eretz).
Why is the full stop on a different key?
On the Israeli layout the full-stop key types ץ, so the full stop moves to the / key and the comma to the ' key. The Q and W keys type / and ', which is also where Hebrew keyboards put them.
